About the Conference

For over 15 years, the MIT Arab Science and Technology Conference (Sci-Tech) —organized by the MIT Arab Student Association—stood as the largest Arab STEM conference on the East Coast, bringing together prominent experts, students, and professionals. It served as a vital platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and dialogue centered on the Arab world’s scientific and technological advancements. However, like many global events, Sci-Tech came to an abrupt halt in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This pause created a profound void for Arab students, researchers, and entrepreneurs who relied on Sci-Tech as a space to connect, share ideas, and drive meaningful change.

This year, after years of dedication and perseverance, we are thrilled to bring Sci-Tech back. More than just a conference, Sci-Tech is a crucial bridge between Arabs in STEM, uniting visionaries across disciplines to shape the future. With a renewed commitment to excellence, we aim to continue the tradition of providing a platform for learning, professional networking, and cultural celebration. Sci-Tech has a rich legacy of impact, drawing hundreds of attendees and over 30 distinguished speakers each year.

This year’s theme, على خطى الخوارزمي (Following in the Footsteps of Al-Khwarizmi), celebrates Arabs shaping science, technology, music, and art—aiming to inspire the next generation of Arab leaders and creator.

As we bring it back in 2025, we continue our mission of empowering Arab innovators to create a better future for the Arab world. We invite you to be part of Sci-Tech’s historic comeback. Join us as we explore groundbreaking advancements and celebrate the resilience of the Arab community, inspiring the next generation of Arab leaders.
